1. Turn off heating & A/C systems to stop the spread of soot to other areas.
 
2. If you have property insurance, contact your Agent or Adjuster immediately.
 
3. Secure your home or office. We can assist with temporary board up of any exposed areas and help secure property.
 
4. Avoid touching or sitting on soft goods such as draperies, bedspreads, and upholstered furniture.
 
5. Create an inventory of any unsalvageable items. You will need this for insurance purposes.
 
6. Retain all receipts related to your loss, in order to document your expenditures for the insurance company and IRS.
